| The Vision of The
Worship Center is threefold:
1. To be a Biblical Church, 2. To be a Christ-centered
Church, 3. To be an Outgoing Church. |
|
A Brief History
of The Worship Center…
The Worship Center was founded in 1986 by Rev.
Mark A. Santostefano and a group of about 25
people who desired to start a Christian church
that would be centered on worship, biblical
teaching and relevant outreach to the community.

We first began meeting in
the basement of a Medical Building in Marlborough.
Within two years the church outgrew that facility
and was invited to hold it’s services at Patti
Dunne’s School of Gymnastics in Hebron, CT.
The added space allowed for an increase in attendance
to an average of 200 worshippers each Sunday,
which was the capacity of that facility.

|
During 1997, a church member,
Mary Florence Boucher, donated 11 acres of land
on Marjorie Circle in order for The Worship
Center to build a permanent church home. Florence
and her husband had always dreamed of a church
being built on the property.

In 1999, we began holding
Sunday service in the auditorium at the old
RHAM High School, which was eventually torn
down in 2004. At this time, we began meeting
for Sunday service at the new RHAM High School
in the food court.

After hearing from God, Josh
Phillips volunteered to initiate the first phase
of construction on the road leading up our future
church home. The driveway site work began in
May of 2004. The retaining wall, which runs
along side the driveway, was completed in October
of 2005 by church members. In May 2006, the
driveway was completed and paved. We are now
invested in our second building campaign, raising
funds to build the sanctuary at the top of the
hill located at 99 Marjorie Circle, Hebron.

| We are currently meeting for
Sunday service at 10 a.m. in the Food Court
of the new R.H.A.M. High School, where the attendance
is around 250. We are convinced that we will
continue to fill the space where we worship
and would need to go to a second service within
a year of moving into our new facility. |
